Since 1996

A small shop. A quiet legacy.

What began as a single small carpet shop in Malappuram has grown — slowly, steadily, with the trust of generations of customers — into Kerala's most reliable carpet house. Every step of that journey is held together by the same belief: every space deserves the right carpet, and every customer deserves the right answer.

Three decades, one thread.

From a single small carpet shop to a Kerala-wide brand — every milestone built on the same promise we made on day one.

1996

The first shop opens.

Zarabi Carpets begins as a small carpet shop in Malappuram, Kerala — a single counter, a single promise: bring the world's finest carpets within reach of every home and mosque in the region.

2001

First major mosque project.

Zarabi installs its first full masjid carpet — a turning point that establishes the brand's reputation for handling community-led prayer-hall projects with care and on time.

2008

Direct sourcing from Turkey & China.

The team begins importing carpets directly from master weavers in Turkey and China — removing middlemen, lowering prices and guaranteeing authentic Oeko-Tex certified quality.

2013

Branch network expands.

Branches open across Edappal, Perinthalmanna, Koppam and other Kerala towns — bringing the full Zarabi range closer to customers across the state.

2019

400+ masjid carpets completed.

From small village mosques to grand prayer halls — Zarabi crosses the 400-mosque milestone, while expanding into bedding, comforters and home essentials.

Today

Five locations. One promise.

Five locations across Kerala. A global sourcing network spanning Turkey, China, India, Morocco, Iran and Vietnam. And the same family-led commitment to craft that started everything in 1996.
